CLIENT SUMMARY

The client is a leading global provider of data and analytics that improve competitive performance and business results for connectivity centric businesses worldwide. They are looking for Vice President - Business Development, to lead their market penetration efforts in Indonesia, and overtime APAC for their Data Analytics/Customer Insight solutions. These solutions provide resources for sales and marketing teams, understand their market and customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong network within the telecommunication industry and must understand the goals, opportunities and challenges telecommunication providers face especially when it comes to understanding their customers and market trends. You must be able to clearly articulate the value proposition of the solutions to prospective clients. The VP of Business Development is well versed at cultivating relationships that position the services to prospective clients to ensure revenue targets are met and exceeded. 

Strong business acumen is important to this role, the ability to analyze a variety of qualitative and quantitative insights to establish a growth strategy and have proven success in establishing credibility with the C-suite (CMO, CTO, CRO & CEO) to open doors and/or maintain relationships that ultimately lead to sales. You will also have proven success working closely with colleagues (CSM, Pre-sales, Product, Analysts) to match solutions to market needs, leveraging excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive business development across the telecom industry in Indonesia.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, prospective clients and articulate the solutions value propositions.
  • Collaborate internally across different departments such as customer success, marketing and product.
  • Collaborate with new clients throughout the client lifecycle, from onboarding to ensuring that business outcomes are achieved.
  • Be the forefront in terms of renewal and managing strategic accounts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the telecom industry and proven success in driving business development initiatives. 
  • To succeed in the role, you must have an interest plus the ability to build a business from the ground up or bring new solutions to the market and drive the adoption. 
  • Good understanding of the telecom industry and  operators, the regulations and trends. Strong business acumen is paramount to succeed, the ability to build long term relationships through consultative selling, especially with C-Level.
  • Ability to work independently and as a distributed team. 
  • Well versed in forecasting and planning. 
Good to Have
  • Experience in customer success or strategic partnership roles.
  • Well connected with key decision makers in the telecom industry.
